Howdy from London!

So we're finally here!! We had a lovely uneventful flight and we landed happily at 11am. After the long line at customs we happily picked up all of our luggage...err all of my luggage! Cam's firm surprisingly and thankfully had a car waiting for us when we landed. Which we had no clue about until Cam checked his voicemail. It was a service called Climate Cars and was a Prius!! How in the world they got all the luggage above in one I have no idea!

They had the car take us to their office since our apartment was ready yet, but it gave Cam a great chance to see the location of his office and learn a little about it. A few of the ladies in the office took us to lunch across the street and I had a disappointment when I ordered Fish and Chips they were all out!! :o(

After lunch a black cab was called for us and again we crammed our luggage into a smaller space than it should have been! The apartments were surprising for their size and very nice! (Pictures in the next post!)

After unpacking, having a nice warm shower and getting situated with our space we were happy to walk across the street to the local pub, have a glass of beer/wine and have some food. I finally got my fish and chips and it was great. Cam had another English classic of Bangers and Mash (large bratwurst size sausage that tasted surprisingly like American breakfast sausage and mashed potatoes).
We then quickly stopped in the convenience store next door where we saw this nice little surprise from Texas in the picture below(don't worry we didn't waste our money on them...yet!), then we headed "home" to browse British TV which is oh so interesting!! haha! Then we crashed by 9pm.

A nice start to our first day, now we just have to get used to the idea that we are in London finally after all the waiting and we're here to stay!

We're on our way!!

Visa arrived, tickets booked, and we'll be on our way tonight!!

Do you think we packed enough luggage for three months?! Cam does, but I'm not so sure...I just don't know how I'll survive with only 11 pairs of shoes!!
Look for a post tomorrow, I hope to get some picture of our place to put up so that you can all see where we're living. Cheerio for now!

Playing the waiting game...

I can't help but think we're supposed to be in Germany or London right now... Maybe sitting in a beer garden, maybe touring Neuschwanstein, seeing the Tower of London again, or where ever it is, I'm supposed to be showing Cam places I visited as a child, important places from my four years living abroad.

Instead...we wait, wait for the work visa to be approved, wait to book tickets, wait to learn where we'll physically be living and wait to start our adventure.

Howdy and Cheerio!

Welcome to our little Blog which we hope will share our big adventures with you.

Cam received a fantastic opportunity to work and live abroad for 3+ months and I couldn't let him go without me! London is one of both of our favorite cities in the world. And we're excited to share it together for the first time.

Join us as we transition from living and working in Texas to living and working (well just him!) in London, England.
